SchoolClosures
Over spring break, I spent time with Steven Chen to rebrand and redesign schoolclosures.org. The website was intended as a one-stop shop for parent's looking for educational resources to supplement home schooling during COVID-19.

Overview
For the project, we broke it into two phases: Branding.
For the branding end, the focus was making the targeted audience feel safe and secure when visiting the website as a resource. From the UX end, we wanted to create a more usable design rather than having all the resources on one page — Which is incredibly overwhelming.

Branding
To establish a site that would feel safe, secure, and trustworthy we needed to establish a recognizable and friendly brand.
The final logo we arrived represents a home's metaphorically opening its door to having a community — even we cannot physically be there.
Early Explorations
During our initial phases of branding we were open to going really in any directions before presenting to our designs.
We explored themes of minimalism, abstract, symbolism, and learned a whole lot about how to use colors together.

Final Branding
With our final branding we gave explorations to how to apply the colors, developing illustration style guides, and establishing core colors that would define the creative direction of schoolclosures.org.
